General Information
Thank you for considering the Church in Great Notley as a possible venue for hiring. Easily accessed from the A120 Braintree by-pass, and a landmark building in Great Notley Garden Village, it offers everything you expect from a modern venue including a car park, a fully-equipped kitchen (awarded 5 stars by Braintree District Council) and it is DDA compliant.
Opened in October 2010, our Church is regularly hired for community activities and private functions, including baptismal celebrations, a pre-school nursery, fitness classes, charity fund-raising days, birthday parties for children and adults, and children's school holiday workshops, whilst fulfilling its primary purpose as a Christian ecumenical place of worship.
All the work related to hiring our building is undertaken by volunteer Church members.
Hiring Options
The building is split into three main areas, separated from each other by removable partitions:
- The Worship Area - mainly kept for worship, concerts or similar
- The Vestibule - central area with direct access to the kitchen
- The Small Hall - with indirect access to the kitchen
The Vestibule & the Small Hall are often hired together as a combined space, with the partition drawn back. We also have a small, multi-purpose 'Meeting' Room available for hire.
